I’m going to let you in on a little secret………..You’re not the only salesperson in your industry & your product or service is not the only one of its kind. But don’t worry, once you know, understand & accept this, it opens up a world of opportunity!
I speak with many salespeople & business owners on a daily basis, and when asked ‘Why You?” they squirm and the first two words out of their mouths are “Well, umm”. It fascinates me, but I’m sorry, this just isn’t good enough. If you want to achieve your success in this highly competitive, fast paced world of limited attention span – you need to be sharp.
We all need to have a statement outlining three points about our business, product & ourselves which roll off the tongue that offer a potential client or customer a Feature – Benefit – and most importantly – What’s in it for them – whilst finishing it off with a question.
If you don’t have this, I suggest you get to it ASAP!
